Rules & Regulations

1. The licensee is Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Information regarding the Hockey Draft can be obtained by contacting:

2. Contest is open to anyone purchasing a ticket in Alberta with the exception of those less than 18 years of age and the 2023 CF Hockey Draft of Hope Committee members and their immediate families. As well, entrants are discouraged from naming anyone less than 18 years of age on a ticket, as any prize winnings are subject to the Alberta Trustee Act.

3. If the NHL Playoffs are cancelled prior to the conclusion of Round 1, no prizes will be awarded and participants will receive a full refund. If the NHL Playoffs are cancelled during Round 2, Round 3 or Round 4, no refunds will be granted, all standings will be considered final at the time of cancellation. Prizes will be awarded according to draft standings at the time of cancellation.

4. To be eligible for the draft, entries must be correctly completed and received by Cystic Fibrosis prior to 5:00 p.m. MST on Monday, April 17th, 2023.

5. There is no limit to the number of entries per person.

6. Only official 2023 CF Hockey Draft of Hope entry forms will be accepted.

7. Tickets are $20.00 each, 3 for $50.00 or 10 for $130.00.

8. The Draft has a maximum of 6,750 available tickets (500 at $20.00, 2,250 at 3 for $50.00 and 4,000 at 10 for $130.00).

9. The 2023 CF Hockey Draft of Hope is for the 2023 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs only.

10. Completed entry forms will be accepted provided that payment is included, tickets are still available, tickets are completed correctly and submission deadlines are met. Each confirmed entrant will be notified of their ticket number and player selections. Entrants are responsible to retain a copy of their player selections, in the event of any data entry or other discrepancies.

11. Organizers reserve the right to refuse any entry for reasons such as:

• Completed incorrectly

• Received after deadline

• Paid by NSF cheque

• Declined by Visa/Mastercard

• Entry form is illegible

• Draft is sold out

12. Completed entry forms and tickets will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. MST on Monday April 17th, at the following locations:

• Kinsmen Club of Edmonton – 9150 Walterday Hill NW - Edmonton AB T6E 2V3 (On April 17th only)

• Cystic Fibrosis Canada – Calgary Chapter - 1130F – 44th Ave. SE. Calgary, AB, T2G 4W6

13. Organizers and sponsors are not responsible for any entries lost or delayed in the mail.

14. Each entrant must select or draft 20 players by marking the appropriate box on the entry form. Only those players on the entry form are eligible to be selected and no substitutions will be allowed. If more than 20 players are selected, only the first 20 players will be accepted. Once entry forms are received by Cystic Fibrosis, no additions, deletions or changes will be permitted. For online ticket purchases only, player selections can be edited up until the entry deadline.

15. Each goal or assist scored by those available players during the playoffs will count as one point. Points will be based upon official NHL Playoff statistics only.

16. The 2023 CF Hockey Draft of Hope will offer $25,000.00 in total prize money. Prizes are awarded on the basis of most points accumulated by an entrant's team. The prize distribution is as follows:

17. Any ties will be broken first by total goals and second by highest plus/minus score. If still tied after this process, the available prize money will be split equally and no prize will be less than $25.00.

18. If a player is traded to another NHL team, his point total will still be included. If a player does not play for any reason or plays below expectations, no compensation will be made.

19. The Hockey Draft standings will be updated daily on the Draft Website. Final standings will be published at www.cfhockeydraft.ca at the conclusion of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

20. All other disputes and enquiries will be handled by mail only. Write to CF 2023 Hockey Draft of Hope, Cystic Fibrosis Canada, 1130F - 44th Ave SE, Calgary AB T2G 4W6. Please include your ticket number in all correspondence. An independent accounting firm will investigate any entrant complaints that cannot be resolved.

21. Winners will be notified by mail, as a minimum. Following the publication of winners' names and results on the draft website at the conclusion of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, other entrants have 14 days to challenge the results. Any such enquiries should be sent to the address given in Rule #20. For AGLC purposes, the official draw date is approximately: June 12th, 2023. Once the results are official, cheques will be mailed to the winners.

22. Winner have three months from the official draw dates stated in Rule #21 to claim their prize. After that date and with AGLC approval, any unclaimed prizes would revert to Cystic Fibrosis.

23. There is no limit to the number of prizes per entrant but all prizes must be accepted as awarded. By entering the 2023 CF Hockey Draft of Hope, entrants agree to the use of their names and photo.

24. The committee reserves the right to cancel the draft, subject to Alberta Gaming Commission approval, if 2,500 tickets are not sold by 3:00 pm on April 15th, 2023. In such an event, the entry fee shall be refunded to all entrants who purchased tickets.

25. All sales received are final and non-refundable. No refunds will be issued, except under the circumstances outlined in Rule #3 above.
